hours and costs around LKR 250 – 300 per passenger. The return boat leaves the
island back to Kalpitiya at 1:30 PM.
Private Speedboats: If you are traveling in a group or prefer a faster option,
private speedboats can be hired, cutting the travel time down to about 2
hours.

The ideal window to explore Battalangunduwa is between
November and April. During the off-season monsoon period (May to October),
harsh sea conditions force local fishermen to temporarily vacate their
temporary shelters and return to the mainland, making travel unsafe.
